Annals of Leisure research is currently recruiting for a Deputy Editor and an Associate Editor (Critical Commentaries) to join the editorial team which is co-led by Professor Louise Mansfield (Brunel London UK) and Professor Belinda Wheaton (University of Waikato NZ).
These roles are a great opportunity for an academic with a strong research background in leisure, and who also has the commitment, drive and ability to help progress the quality, scope and reach of this journal at a key stage of its development. The journal is on a fast upward trajectory having made significant gains across all key metrics (i.e. submissions and usage, impact metrics, global reach).
You will join the management team which consists of the two managing editors (Mansfield & Wheaton), Deputy Editor (Prof. Rylee Dionigi, Charles Sturt University, Australia), Associate Editor & Review Editor (Kate Dashper, Leeds Beckett University, UK ), Social Media Editor (Oscar Vorobjovas-Pinta, Edith Cowan University, Australia).
As part of these roles, you will be responsible for the oversight and administration of a rigorous peer review process that delivers an agreed amount of content of suitable scope and quality within an established publication timeframe.
