ANZALS 2023 Co-Chairs, Associate Professor Heike Schänzel and Associate Professor Mike Brown, cordially invite students, scholars, and industry practitioners to join them for an enriching week in Tāmaki Makaurau – Auckland, known as the City of Sails.

The School of Hospitality and Tourism and the School of Sport and Recreation at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) are joining forces to support ANZALS celebrate our 30th Anniversary and to showcase that “leisure is for life”.

Our hosts are especially keen to welcome those who share their passion for working and recreating in the great outdoors. Researchers looking at the impact of leisure habits on the health and well-being sector, and the importance of pursuing leisure across the lifespan are equally encouraged.
